Bathroom in Moroccan style

Three cities are considered the capital of Moroccan ceramics: Safi, Fez and Mekenes. It is here that the factories producing the world's most popular and appreciated ceramics are located. The first references to the production of Moroccan ceramics date back to the 8th century, but it flourished in the 15th century.

  Characteristics of Moroccan ceramics

The colours of Moroccan decorations are influenced by Arabic culture. The predominant colours here are those referring to the desert, i.e. blue, black, green, red, yellow and orange.

If we talk about design, we can say that it is bold, even bold. It is characterized by geometric patterns that emphasize order and order. Their structure is perfect. And when you finish your bathroom in this style, you get exactly the character of the room: colourful but subdued, patterned but tidy.

Moroccan tiles

Tiles produced by the traditional glazing and firing method are characterized by very high resistance to abrasion. They can be single-coloured or decorated with geometrical ornaments.

Tiles decorated with patterns can form a patchwork, whose single-colour background will be a perfect complement to the composition. You can choose the colours allowing you to maintain any style and character of your bathroom. From shades of sand, through reds and oranges, to shades of blue.

Moroccan patterned tiles will be perfect as a decoration of the shower cubicle, you can use them to mark the line of the bathtub, emphasize the place of the washbasin. Often Moroccan tiles act as a mirror frame, which combined with appropriate lighting gives an amazing effect.

Moroccan washbasins

It is an incredible decorative element of the bathroom which performs utility functions. In most cases, the washbasins manufactured in Morocco are hand-decorated, which is of course a traditional way of production.

Moroccan washbasins are characterized by a geometric pattern, often very fine, which shows the artist's craft of decorating ceramics in its full glory. The pattern can be so intricate and at the same time so perfectly made that it even seems impossible to create by man.

Don't be afraid of the Arabic style in your bathroom

Of course, one can doubt that such design will not dominate the bathroom, but really, there is nothing to fear. Tiles laid on the floor in one colour, and in different shades, will be the ideal base for further bathroom decoration.

A patchwork of tiles decorated with a geometric pattern in the shower enclosure or near the bathtub can contrast with other walls or be in the same colour and only mark the distinctiveness of the space. The surroundings of the mirror is a place where pattern tiles can be placed in complete contrast to the other surfaces of the bathroom. It will be one of the main decorative elements of the bathroom.

Moroccan washbasin produced in a traditional way is in most cases in a tabletop form. Only this way of assembly will emphasize the unique pattern and artistry of the artist.

Add to this a mixer made of copper or brass and you will get a unique, remarkable, eye-catching, unusual bathroom.
